How do I find out if Xfinity is down in my area? ›

You can check for outages using the Xfinity app on your mobile phone. Simply open the Xfinity app and outage information appears.

Xfinity TV and Xfinity Internet services take approximately one hour to restore. Xfinity Voice service takes approximately four hours to restore.

Check to see if a service outage has been reported in your area by signing into your account and checking the Status Center, or register your phone to receive text alerts and text “Out” to 266278. If you're a Comcast Business customer, go to our Service Status Center to check your service health.

Troubleshooting steps

Hand-tighten all cable connections to make sure they're not loose. If using an HDMI cable to connect the X1 TV Box to the TV, confirm that it's plugged into the proper locations. Power on both the TV and the X1 TV Box. Confirm that the TV is set to the proper input.

Check your internet providers' social media accounts, as sometimes companies will use these platforms to post information about outages and planned works. Still nothing? Also check its website or app (you may have to log in to your account first, so keep your details handy).

You can troubleshoot connectivity issues using the Xfinity app. Select WiFi and click the Troubleshoot option. If our system detects a problem we can't fix online and a visit is required, you have the option to schedule a technician visit.

Are Xfinity and Comcast the same thing? At their roots, Xfinity and Comcast are the same thing. Comcast is the parent company, and Xfinity is Comcast's brand for TV, internet, and home phone services.

Why is Xfinity saying no Internet connection? ›

Check the device WiFi settings to ensure WiFi is on. Confirm the equipment cables are plugged in and the coaxial cable has been tightened as much as possible using your fingers to both the wall outlet and your modem or gateway. Make sure you are within a reachable WiFi coverage area from the modem or router.

Overview. A "No Signal", "No Source", or "No Input" message will appear on your TV screen if the TV is not receiving a signal from your TV box. This is often a result of either the TV box being powered off, not being properly connected to the TV, or the TV being set to the wrong input.

Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight Low Signal Indicator. Press OK (or press the raised button on the center of the directional pad if your X1 remote does not have an OK button) to toggle the feature on. The indicator will then appear at the top right of your screen, next to the time and temperature.

Depending on the circ*mstances, your service could be interrupted or disconnected due to late payment or missing payments. If this happens, you will need to make a payment to re-activate your services. This payment may include late fees and a reactivation charge, and it will take 48–72 hours to restore your services.
