But that’s not all, folks—the upcoming Fantastic Four movie has been officially (and aptly) titled “First Steps.” Not much is known about the film aside from the fact that it is set in the 1960s. Pedro Pascal will portray the brilliant Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic); Vanessa Kirby as the force-field projecting Susan Storm (Invisible Woman); Joseph Quinn as the hot-headed Johnny Storm (The Human Torch); and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will portray Ben Grimm (the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing!)
Anthony Mackie and the rest of the Captain America: Brave New World cast also went onstage to promote the film. Giancarlo Esposito was confirmed to be portraying Sidewinder, the sinister leader of the Serpent Society. Harrison Ford, playing President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, also humorously “hulked out” in front of the audience.
The Thunderbolts* movie was also given an official release date of May 2, 2025.
DC
DC Studios unveiled a shiny new logo that may be familiar to long-time and devoted fans. The late Milton Glaser designed the “DC Bullet”, which the publishing house used between 1977 and 2005. This logo, representing a return to DC’s roots, signals a reignited passion and devotion for upcoming projects.
“When DC Studios needed a logo, I knew immediately what it needed to be,” DC Studios co-chairman and CEO James Gunn said on Instagram.
Excited fans were also shown a new trailer for HBO Max’sThe Penguin. Colin Farrell will reprise his role as the King of Gotham in this eight-part limited series and is confirmed to return in The Batman Part II, slated for release in October 2026.
